Step onto Europe's Prestigious Stages

Tour of Gratitude: A Festival Tour by Viter Ukrainian Dancers and Folk Choir

At Euroculture LTD, we are convinced: no project can ever be repeated. One can book the same hall or travel the same road, but every journey is a unique “fingerprint”—a combination of the faces in the audience, the energy of the performers, and that special magic born only once.

This project, realised in partnership with Cobblestone Freeway Tours for the Canadian ensemble Viter Ukrainian Dancers and Folk Choir in August 2024, became a prime example of how high-level international festival tour organisation transforms into a tool for cultural diplomacy.

The project was brought to life through the close collaboration of Yevgeniy Novokhatniy, founder of Euroculture LTD, and Vincent Rees, founder of Cobblestone Freeway Tours. In this journey, the complex logistics of performing arts groups intertwined with a vital mission: to express gratitude to the people and governments of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia for their massive support of Ukraine. Through their art, the ensemble presented the world with a living folk heritage and Ukrainian culture, which is actively preserved and developed today in Canada and other countries around the world.

August 9, 2024 – Lodz: Where Music Finds a Home

Our festival tour across Europe began at the Arthur Rubinstein Philharmonic in Lodz (Poland).

  • The Venue: A state-of-the-art building with exceptional acoustics, built on the site of a historic theater.

  • Capacity: Over 650 seats.

  • The Moment: As the hall filled with the powerful voices of the choir, the space seemed to stand still. The ensemble’s performance was a breathtaking start to our mission of gratitude. We saw tears in the eyes of the audience – the kind of raw cultural connection that simply cannot be scripted.

August 13, 2024 – Trakai: A Moment for Inspiration

An excursion to the Trakai Island Castle in Lithuania allowed the group to immerse themselves in the region’s history. As the only island castle in Eastern Europe, its majestic 14th-century architecture provided the perfect setting for rest and reflection before the upcoming performances.

August 14, 2024 – Vilnius: A Meeting in the Heart of Culture

The second major concert took place in Vilnius, at the House of Polish Culture.

  • The Venue: The largest centre for international cultural dialogue in Lithuania, equipped with cutting-edge sound and lighting technology.

  • Capacity: A theatre hall with 500 seats.

  • The Moment: The performance by Viter Ukrainian Dancers and Folk Choir felt almost like home. The artists used the stage to thank the people of Lithuania for their openness and support of Ukraine.

August 16, 2024 – Ventspils: The Energy of Will

The journey continued with participation in the International Ukrainian Festival in Ventspils, Latvia. Under the open sky, folk art breathed with full lungs, uniting hundreds of people of different nationalities in a shared feeling of appreciation for the people of Latvia.

August 20, 2024 – Saue: A Symbol of Freedom and Unity

The final and most symbolic point of our journey was the Estonian city of Saue. On this day, the entire country celebrated the Day of Restoration of Independence of Estonia.

  • The Event: The concert in Saue was timed to this major national holiday. Performing on an open stage on such a day transformed the festival tour into a profound act of solidarity.

  • The Moment: The festive atmosphere and incredible Estonian hospitality created a unique backdrop. Music and dance became a universal language of freedom, expressing sincere gratitude to the Estonian people for their firm stance and aid to Ukraine.

A Word from the Author

“For me, every tour is not a logistical chain, but a living organism. I remember each one by the sounds, the scents, and those brief moments backstage as the artists prepare to go on. This festival tour with the Viter ensemble was special: it was a journey of sincere gratitude. We don’t just organize trips; we create a space for art to live, and that art knows how to say ‘thank you’ loudly and beautifully.”

Yevgeniy Novokhatniy, Founder of Euroculture LTD and Tour Director.
